Klenovica is situated on the coast of the Adriatic Sea and thanks to that it offers a variety of holiday activities. Those in pursuit of peace and relaxation will appreciate the pools in Camp Klenovica. Sun lovers can rest at the main beach in the centre of Klenovica or visit the lovely beaches of Povile and Zronovica bays. Zronovica Bay is well known for fresh water springs hidden in the sea. Those who prefer active holidays can try available water sports, i.e. scuba diving. Next to the campsite, in the marina you can rent a boat and visit one of the numerous islands. Klenovica is a fishing village, due to that fishing has become one of the popular local pastimes. Tourists are also very welcome to try their hand in this sport.
Novi Vinodolski is a lovely town situated only 8 km away from Klenovica. It is a very popular seaside resort comprising of two parts. Stari Grad - the historical part of the town situated on a hill with its eye-catching white houses covered with red tile roofs. The newer part of the town is dominated by modern houses and apartment blocks. One of the most famous monuments in town is the Cathedral of Saints Philip and James with its 36-metre-high bell tower built on the hill top. It is a perfect spot to admire the marvellous panorama of the area and the nearby island of Krk. Other spots wort seeing in the city are the ruins of a Roman fortress, house of the Maźuranić brothers, a library from 1845, the National Museum and the Frankopanki Castle. You can also go for a stroll on one of the nicest promenades in town - Korz street or along the seaside boulevards, which play the role of beaches in summer.
Another interesting city in the Kvarner region is Cvikrenica known as a spa town.The most important monuments are Pauline monastery dating back to the fifteenth century and medieval buildings in the old district of Kotor. Cvikrenica boasts a wide sandy beach and interesting vegetation, among which pine and palm trees dominate Apart from Novi Vinodolski and Cvikrenica, the so-called Riviera of Kvarner Bay also includes two other nearby towns: Selce and Senji, it is worth visiting these places mainly to feel the unique atmosphere characteristic of the Mediterranean port towns, stroll through charming streets and have a good time. in one of the many pleasant cafes or restaurants serving local specialties.
Spending a holiday in Klenovica, you can go on a trip to Krk, which is the largest island in the Adriatic Sea and is considered a place where Croatian culture was born. the island is crossed by a bridge which is 1430 m long and it is worth visiting one of the most important cities: Krk, Baska, Omišalj, Vrbnik and Punat. On Krk you will find beautiful beaches, many monuments from Roman times and from the Middle Ages and interesting places in terms of nature. i.e. visit the cave Biserujka or go to the mountains located in the south of the island.
